Summer Bash

There are NO WARNINGS issued if you are caught breaking track rules! You will be removed from the event with NO REFUNDS

All vehicles must pass a basic safety check before you are allowed out on track. This is for your safety, and the safety of those around you on track. Please go over the list before the event to ensure there are no issues on the day.

You will be responsible and billed for any use of spill kits, extinguisher refills, along with any deliberate grass damage or damage to the venue, whether deliberate or not.


ALL VEHICLES:

  • Brake lights

  • Legal tread on the tyres

  • Battery Clamps - Must be secured and not able to move, even if it's in a battery box. This is the most common Safety Check failure

  • No Fuel or Oil Leaks

  • Wheel Nuts secured

  • Seatbelts or harnesses. This is required for all drivers and passengers. If your vehicle came factory without belts, you must have aftermarket belts fitted to get on track.

  • Noise Limit - All tracks have noise limits and you are to obey by the track limits. If your car exceeds the limits then you will be asked to rectify this and if still persists then you won’t be allowed at the event with no refunds.

  • Sealed Firewall.

  • Structural Damage.

  • Door Cards - This is recommended for safety, however it is your responsibility if you don't comply. We will NOT decline you if this is not done.

  • No exhaust/waste gate out bonnet - This is recommended for safety, however it is your responsibility if you don't comply. We will NOT decline you if this is not done.

  • No loose items.


NON ROAD LEGAL VEHICLES (DRIFT/TRACK/BURNOUT CARS ETC).

You must complete the list above, as well as:

  • Rollcages are not required, however must be padded if installed. If you don't have a cage, you cannot tandem drift or take passengers drifting.

  • All cars with a modified engine must have an overflow bottle and oil catch can if one isn't already fitted.

  • Fuel System has to be fully sealed from drivers compartment

  • No sharp objects

  • Secured seats

  • No excessive play on steering

  • Brakes – firm pedals in working conditions

  • Vision – Clear vision through windscreen (any cracks must be out of drivers line or sight, no larger than A3 size and no passengers permitted)

  • Throttle cable Is fitted correctly

  • No sharp outside bodywork

  • No major windscreen cracks

  • Exhaust - Fumes are exiting outside

  • Rear Firewall sealed

  • Marked Tow Hooks

  • Operational Window Wipers

  • No mirror tints - either open your windows or remove front tints. No tint on front windscreen.


Personal Safety/Sessions Safety Requirements for sessions:


Rolling Hard Track Cruising

  • Seatbelts - No seatbelt, no track time. 

  • Enclosed Shoes

  • Vehicles equipped with roll cages must have padding on it.

Drifting

  • Seatbelts/Harnesses

  • SFI approved Racesuit, Gloves, Boots

  • Approved Motorsport helmet

  • Cars with lap belts (caged or not) will use Foam Neck Brace 

  • Cars with harnesses (caged or not) must run tethered FHR

  • Car with roll cage may use either lap belt or harnesses

  • Passengers ONLY allowed on full caged cars. (Passengers must have the same safety gear as the driver)

Burnouts/Gymkhana

  • Seatbelts 

  • Enclosed Shoes

  • Race suit OR long sleeve shirt & pants

  • Approved Motorsport helmet

  • Foam Neck Brace

  • Only ONE passenger allowed for Burnouts & Gymkhana. Passengers must have the same safety gear as the driver.


Please take the time to check over your car and gear prior to the event to make sure you get out on the track without any problems.

Passengers

  • Unless approved by event staff on the day, passengers are only allowed into the Rolling Hard Track Cruising Sessions.

  • If approved, passengers must be wearing the same safety gear as required by the driver (see above).

  • Track Staff reserve the right to remove passengers if safety is an issue prior to you getting out on the track.

Rotary Summer Drags

Every vehicle has to complete a basic Safety Check before you are allowed out on the track. This is for your safety, and the safety of those around you on the track. Once your car has passed, you’ll receive your vehicle registration stickers/wristband and you will have access to the track.

If you miss out on registration/safety check times, you will not be allowed onto the track. No exceptions and no refunds!

Here is a basic checklist that will be checked for upon entry.


All Vehicles:

Vehicles must have a current WOF and Reg, or be Tech Inspected to Drag Race at Mad Mike's Rotary Summer Drags.

  • Rotary vehicles must have a Scatter Blanket/Shield. 
  • Brake lights (Must be in working condition)
  • Bonnets (Bonnets must be on the car all the time, unless it is a dedicated vehicle with blower etc. hanging out the bonnet).
  • Indicators (Not required for dedicated track cars).
  • Legal thread on the tyres
  • Battery Clamps (Must be secured and not able to move, even if it's in a battery box).
  • Fuel Leaks
  • Oil Leaks
  • Wheel Nuts secured
  • Seatbelts (A seatbelt is required for all drivers and passengers out on the track. Even the vehicles from the factory without a seatbelt, it should have one installed).
  • Noise Limit (All tracks have noise limits and you are to obey by the track limits. If your car exceeds the limits then you will be asked to rectify this and if still persists then you won’t be allowed at the event with no refunds)

  • Headlights (this is a requirement for all vehicles wanting to participate in the Twilight Sessions. If you are a dedicated track car with no headlights, you will still pass scrutineering, however you want be allowed on track after 5pm).

  • Seatbelts

  • Helmet

Passengers

  • Same requirement as driver, however only in alloucated sessions on the day.

  • Must sign a Passenger Indemnity prior to getting in a vehicle as a passenger.
